The vineyard

Our lands
Mas Gourdou is located 25 km from Montpellier, on the border between the Gard and Hérault departments, in the heart of the Pic Saint Loup appellation zone. With its 20 hectares of vines, the estate is committed to environmentally-friendly production, with HEV (High Environmental Value) certification.
The estate's vines are planted in small plots, nestled among forests of holm oak and Aleppo pine, and surrounded by Mediterranean plants such as rosemary, thyme, arbutus and lavender.
These ideal conditions, on a clay-limestone soil, contribute to enriching the distinctive aromas of Mas Gourdou wines.
Protected from cold northerly winds, the Mistral and the Tramontane by the Hortus mountains, at an altitude of 150 meters, the estate's lands benefit fully from the generous sunshine of southern France, thanks to their southeasterly exposure.
Planting
The Mas Gourdou vineyard is planted mainly with Syrah, Grenache Noir, Mourvèdre and Carignan for red grapes, and Grenache Blanc, Marsanne, Roussanne, Viognier and Clairette for white grapes.
Particular attention is paid to maintaining a harmonious balance between the vines and their environment, with respect for cultural traditions, in the heart of the vineyard and in the cellar, where a work philosophy based on respect for ripe grapes prevails.
